BNHC USERS
Please note the following changes to the BNHC (Burringbar Park) User Manual. An updated version of the User Manual is available from the BHMG Website here .
17. 17. Smoking at the Burringbar Hockey Turf Facility
- No smoking rules at the BP Turf Facility apply as per Government regulations. Although the BP Turf facility is not considered to be a major stadium by the authorities, no smoking or vaping is permitted inside the fenced area of the facility and no smoking or vaping is allowed within 10 metres of any Junior (U18) game played on the grass field.
14. PA System
- There is currently no PA system available at BNHC, Burringbar Park.
- If a PA is brought into the facility for an approved event, a request to use it must be submitted via the Liquor Licence holder (KWSHC). Organisers need to contact KWSHC at least a month prior to an approved event, so they can request approval to use a PA, any costs incurred must be met by the event organiser.
- As part of our Community Good Neighbour responsibilities NO amplified music or sound is allowed to be played at the facility.
REMINDERS
Please remind your members again:
- That chewing gum must be placed in the rubbish bins provided, not left on the turfs, ground, fittings, or equipment. Chewing gum is being found everywhere at the facility causing damage.
- The main goal circles are not to be used during training unless a full field practice/trial game has been booked and is being played, and if this occurs and you move the nets to the backline to accommodate this, then you must move the nets back to the sideline area at the end of your training session. They are too difficult for one staff member to effectively move them alone. There is significant wear occurring with Penalty Corner injections, shots and goal keeping drills in the main circles.
BOOKINGS
- While we want to encourage as much use of the facility as possible, please be mindful that same day bookings may not always be seen in enough time to accept them, where possible please allow at least 24 hours’ notice of bookings to ensure they can be actioned.
- Bookings should be submitted via the online booking form found at https://www.brishockey.org.au/pages/field-hire-2/field-hire-enquiry.php after checking the Skedda program https://www.brishockey.org.au/pages/field-hire-2/bnhc-schedule.php for turf availability.
- Booking cancellations with less than 24 hours notification should be both emailed and phoned through to ensure staff are notified.
FACILITY CONTACTS
- Facility Supervisor contact bhmgfacility(at)brishockey(dot)org(dot)au or 0493 563 937
- Facility Onsite staff 0493 644 046

OLD TURF
- There is still some old turf available for collection, please contact Kev 0493 563 937 to organise, you will need your own strong helpers and a trailer/truck to move the turf.
